History Tour of Downtown's Historic Gaslamp Quarter, San Diego
What we’ll do
This 90 minute walking tour will allow you to experience the vibrancy of Downtown San Diego while also learning about the incredible history of this place. Get transported back in time as you spot 1920's buildings and learn about the scandalous details about San Diego's "New Town" or Downtown center. By the end of this tour, you will understand the overall development of America's Finest City and will have plenty of options to explore on your own after the tour.
During our tour we will walk through San Diego's Gaslamp District and will make stops along our route, including, but not limited to:
1. Horton Plaza Park
2. The US Grant Hotel
3. Granger Building
4. Woolworth Building
5. San Diego Hardware Company
6. Louis Bank of Commerce Building
7. Nesmith-Greeley Building
8. Marston Building
9. Keating Building
10. Spencer Ogden Building
11. AND MORE!
I will of course point out the best restaurants, nightclubs, pubs, and interesting spots around downtown that we pass along the way!
What else you should know
We will be walking all through Downtown San Diego's Gaslamp district. This means that we will meet a variety of people, dogs, and vehicles along our route. Be aware and wear proper shoes for our walk.
