What you'll do

This 90 minute tour will share with guests the beauty, history, and hidden gems around Balboa Park. Celebrating it's 150 year anniversary this year, Balboa Park has so much to share with guests and without someone pointing them out, you may miss the secret jewels of this beautiful park.

Did you know that Balboa Park has its origins with the Panama Canal? Amongst Italian Renaissance architecture, did you know you can find corny, early century jokes and repurposed water towers? Did you know the historic park once housed a nudist colony?! All of this and more can be discovered in a fun and comprehensive tour of beautiful Balboa Park!

Park maps will be provided that you can keep after the tour so you can continue exploring on your own.

Balboa Park has so many nooks and crannies and the best way to get the most out of your experience is to know what you care about. Do you love architecture, history, flowers, art, all of the above?! Based on your feedback before or during our tour, we will adjust the agenda to fit in as much interesting and juicy information as possible. In general, you can expect to see the back corridors, hidden gems, and lots of great history!
